Pladis, the company behind well-known brands such as Sultana, McVitie’s, and Flipz, faces various challenges in the retail sector. Competition in the biscuit and chocolate market is intense, and the battle for shelf space is fierce. To stand out, Pladis must ensure maximum visibility and availability of its products in stores. Additionally, it is crucial to implement innovations quickly and effectively and secure secondary placements to boost sales. Through strategic sales activities, Pladis can expand its distribution and achieve higher revenue.

Approach

As the field sales team for Pladis, we implement various strategies to increase distribution and strengthen brand awareness:

1. Building relationships with retailers: Upon arrival at the store, our field sales representative introduces themselves to the store manager and discusses the objectives of the visit.
2.Introducing new products: Together with the store manager, we analyze the shelf and propose new references to ensure they are correctly ordered and included in the assortment.
3.Shelf optimization: We ensure that Pladis products are optimally positioned, with proper facing and an attractive presentation to maximize visibility and sales.
4.Securing secondary placements: Our team looks for strategic locations in the store for displays and additional placements, generating extra attention and impulse purchases.
5.Enhancing promotions and visibility: We propose local and national promotions and ensure that Pladis products are in the spotlight, contributing to higher sales.
6.Reporting: During store visits, an audit is conducted on the assortment, placement, and other key information. Photos of the shelf and placed displays are taken and shared via our reporting dashboard to monitor performance and impact.
7.Daily sales support: After completing a visit, we move on to the next store to reapply the strategy and achieve maximum coverage.
